About This Place

Cambie Taphouse + Coffee in Missoula, MT, is a vibrant destination where the worlds of crafted coffee and flavorful dining converge in a way that feels both cozy and lively. This uniquely dual-concept spot proudly embraces its identity as part neighborhood café, part neighborhood bar, creating a welcoming atmosphere that suits everything from a thoughtful morning latte to a spirited evening out.

The menu is a delicious journey through hearty comfort food with a modern twist. Breakfast lovers will delight in rich classics like the Biscuits and Gravy and the indulgent Bacon Breakfast Burrito, while the Breakfast Sandwich sparks a satisfying start to any day. For those looking for bold flavors and inventive bites, the Buffalo Cauliflower dazzles with its spicy, crispy texture, and the Cauliflower Poutine offers an unexpected, deliciously saucy treat. The Chicken Fried Steak stands out as a deeply comforting plate, a must-try for anyone craving hearty Montana-style fare.

Beyond the food, Cambie Taphouse + Coffee excels at curating an impressive beverage lineup that complements the rich menu offerings. From expertly crafted coffee varieties like the velvety Dirty Chai Latte and the soothing Golden Latte to an adventurous Wine Flight and refreshing cocktails such as the crisp Mojito and bubbly Mimosa, there’s something for every palate. Notably, the selection of gluten-free beer options such as Meteor Shower highlights their thoughtfulness in catering to diverse preferences.

The atmosphere here is as much a part of the experience as the food and drinks. With plenty of bar seating, a lively ground floor, an inviting outdoor patio, and a secretive upper deck that Marvin Nelson charmingly compares to a “secret treehouse,” Cambie exudes a relaxed yet buzzing vibe that easily adapts from morning coffee contemplations to evening socializing. The space’s local artwork and warm décor carry a distinct Missoula charm that invites guests to linger and savor each moment.

Customer reviews illuminate the warm, community-centric spirit but also offer candid insights. While most guests, like Chris House, rave about the consistently good food, drinks, and atmosphere, a few, including Mariah Duffy and Tyler, note occasional lapses in service, especially when visiting during slower periods. This honest feedback reminds us that while Cambie Taphouse + Coffee shines in culinary and ambiance aspects, improving attentiveness could elevate the overall experience even further.

Ultimately, Cambie Taphouse + Coffee is perfect for those who crave a dynamic dining environment where the energy seamlessly shifts with the day—from sipping a matcha latte while diving into a book to gathering with friends over a cold brew and inventive dishes like the Charcuterie Board or the ever-popular Chicken Wrap Fries. If you appreciate spaces that balance quality food and drink with a vibrant yet cozy neighborhood vibe, Cambie is a compelling choice worth exploring.

Very friendly staff! Great beer list. However didn’t get great service when we sat at the bar and staff was lamenting how dead it was today in front of us, which wasn’t welcoming. Had a few drafts and finished them and wanted another, but we sat for a long while with four staff members behind the bar not looking to see who needed a drink. Night ended with staff members (guy with curly hair) who served us and wished us a nice goodbye. Will be back but hoping staff can be a bit more on top of it!

Food was good, service was seriously lacking had to ask to be helped at every point even had to ask for a menu, getting drinks ect. even though many employees were right in front of us and wasn't very busy. Food was good though, might be willing to go again despite the service.

We did not order food. Just coffees to go which were good. Food looks interesting though. Space is fun and comfortable. Lots of bar seating. Good selection of wine and beer.

Cambie is one of our favorite places to hang out and have food that never disappoints and great coffee or brewski’s. Whether it’s breakfast or later in the day; we really like the atmosphere and choice of food and beverages. The service has always been good for us. They have a ground level floor and outside patio as well as an upper outside patio you take by the inside stairs decorated with local art on the wall. It appeared any wheelchair users would need to stay on the ground floor. This visit we had a late lunch and some drinks. We ordered the pretzel bites for the appetizer with “queso 2” & the Cambie sauce dips. (It normally comes with 1 dip of choice out of 3 or 4 options). I had the prime rib melt (on special) with house salad for the side. My girlfriend ordered the chicken wrap of the day with fries. It seemed like they had a daily rotational wrap on their menu. Everything was super fresh and gourmet. You can tell the menu is created by a really great chef. Everything we’ve had is super good quality with a wonderful presentation! We did end up splurging on the churro fry bread for dessert and we must say, it tasted so much better than it looked (which it did have quite a gorgeous ensemble)! Cambie is a great little place that serves quality food and drink; and something new seems to always be available. We hope that you love it as much as us!

Cambie Taphouse + Coffee is basically the mullet of Missoula dining—business (coffee) in the front, party (taphouse) upstairs. The fun outdoor seating on the upper deck feels like you’ve stumbled into a secret treehouse where the password is “IPA.” The vibe? Equal parts hip café and neighborhood hangout. You can sip a latte like you’re writing the next great American novel, then immediately switch gears and grab a pint like you’re celebrating finishing it—without ever leaving the building. The food and drinks? Solid across the board. The kind of solid that makes you consider moving upstairs permanently, like a raccoon who’s traded trash for tacos. If you want caffeine, craft beer, and rooftop-level fun all in one spot, Cambie is the place. Just don’t be surprised if you start checking Zillow for nearby apartments.

Such a fun place for any meal of the day! We went for weekend brunch and it was so yummy! The coffee is pretty decent, definitely not the best in town. The food is delicious and priced very fairly. I love the atmosphere and interior design as well. Service was top notch! We will be back for a little lunch or brunch situation.

We had a really good experience dining here, and our wonderful server, Ella made it even better. She was friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to, the kind of server who makes you feel welcome without hovering. She knew the menu well and gave great recommendations. The food was wonderful , would reccomend!

What a great concept and perfect execution. I love that you can find a beautiful modern space where you can grab some breakfast and a coffee and then have a beer at 9AM. Our service was excellent on this day and really set a good mood for us. The food itself was okay but nothing to write home about. The selection of beers on tap was quite surprising...in a good way. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
